Our Story

My name is Jodi. I have a passion for collecting beach glass. I created BeachWish to give me the opportunity to express and share my passion with others. BeachWish is a personal collection of jewelry and art inspired and created with authentic beach glass.

My journey collecting beach glass began when I was a little girl. My mom and I would collect beach glass on the shores of Lake Erie. Our beach glass collecting adventures evolved and gave us a moment to reflect and share with one another what was happening in our lives. We would take any pieces of glass that were not quite smooth enough to keep for our collection and throw them back into the water and make a wish. Our wishes always reflect our life journey and overcoming the obstacles that it entails.

In February of 2016, our wishes became far more intense and important. This was the beginning of my journey with cancer. Between February 2016 to March 2018 I was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer twice. During these three years my mom and I continued to walk on the beach, collecting beach glass and making wishes.

BeachWish blossomed to help me keep a positive mind during these challenging times. BeachWish gave me the focus and determination to keep moving forward and inspire others to overcome their own challenges.

More About the Artist

I spend many hours searching and finding pieces of beach glass. I take my passion and create genuine pieces of jewelry and art that I can share all around the world.

I have completed my bachelors in business administration and plans to use my knowledge from my degree to help BeachWish flourish. Along with my degree, I am constantly learning new techniques and abilities to improve on my designs and creations.

I enjoy traveling to many beaches around the world and I gather my inspiration from these many beaches, as well as by looking at Lake Erie through a window into my own backyard.

Our Creations

Beach glass or sea glass begins its life as bottles and other forms of glass. This glass is thrown into bodies of water. The glass is naturally weathered smooth by the waves and sand. Then, after a vast amount of time these pieces of glass are found on the shores of bodies of water, as beach glass or sea glass.

BeachWish authentically sources all beach glass from lakes and oceans to create jewelry and other art pieces. Since BeachWish is located in Port Stanley, Ontario most beach glass is sourced from the shores of Lake Erie.

BeachWish creates all jewelry and other art in-house. All BeachWish pieces are designed and created in one small craft room, while being inspired by the beautiful views of Lake Erie beach.
